    Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week

Blades Falmouth WeekThe annual Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week will be taking place between 11-19th August this year, with more than 300 yachts racing during what is now one of the biggest sailing regatta’s in the region, as well as a whole programme of land events throughout the week too.

Over the full week, there is a packed schedule of events and activities besides the world-class sailing, with something sure to appeal to everyone. This is a great family festival with all sorts of children’s activities and entertainment including a climbing wall, drawing & painting, party games, animals, mask and model making and much more!

The event launches on Saturday the 10th August with “Music on the Moor” and a 50’s Tea Dance before an evening bar and BBQ. In the Events Square you can find arts & crafts  and food stalls and children’s entertainment. The following evening, for the 5th year running the event hosts the popular Hog Roast and Cider night so you can sample some of the famous local tipples!

Some of the main land based events and activities take place on Wednesday 15th, with the Animal Bike Tour where you can see the spectacular performances from Trials and Jump Riders. Artists will be on the streets of the town capturing the events too, which will be displayed in an exhibition the following week. Wednesday also hosts one of the most spectacular and popular events of the week, at the Custom House Quay where there will be Boat, Lifeguard, Model Boat and rescue displays from the RNLI, before the amazing and not to be missed Blades Aerobatic Display.

On Friday evening you can enjoy a battle of the generations, as it’s 80s vs 90s with Chesney Hawkes and Artful Dodger performing.

You can find a full list of the week’s events and locations here.
